Melbourne Short Break and International Flower and Garden Show
A group of 41 Probus members recently embarked on a five-day, four-night Melbourne Short Break with Trade Travel, discovering the city's highlights and surrounding attractions during the picturesque month of March. Their journey included an exclusive tour of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), where they explored the prestigious members-only Long Room and learned about the venue’s rich sporting history. A standout experience was The Q-Train, a moving restaurant that offered a five-course dining experience featuring the finest regional produce while traveling through the scenic Bellarine Peninsula. From the breathtaking views atop Melbourne Skydeck to a moment of reflection at the Shrine of Remembrance, the group immersed themselves in the city’s culture and heritage. They also enjoyed two unique railway experiences—the historic Puffing Billy Railway, where they sat with legs dangling from the carriages, and a visit to the charming village of Sassafras. Their adventure continued with a visit to the Mount Macedon Memorial Cross and Stokes Collection before culminating at the world-renowned Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. Here, they wandered through the heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, admiring stunning floral artistry and browsing an array of garden retail stalls.
